Cruising the Rivers Alde and Ore for three peaceful hours, you will experience Suffolk from a completely different perspective, while enjoying a three-course meal prepared on board using the finest local produce.
Sailing all year round, Lady Florence is as inviting in winter with her cosy wood burner as she is in summer, when guests can relax on deck and soak up the big Suffolk skies.
The Voyage
Board 15 minutes before departure from Orford Quay, where our crew will welcome you aboard.
Settle in with a drink on deck or in the saloon as the Captain gives a short introduction, then relax as we gently cast off.
We cruise upstream towards Aldeburgh, passing saltmarshes and creeks rich in birdlife.
Around an hour into the journey, the ship’s bell rings - a Lady Florence tradition - inviting you into the saloon to enjoy your freshly prepared three-course meal, served with full table service.
After dining, we continue around Havergate Island, the RSPB nature reserve known for its avocets and seals, before returning to Orford Quay. A complete and tranquil journey through one of Suffolk’s most unspoilt landscapes.
Lady Florence carries a maximum of 12 passengers and is available for exclusive private charters or shared experiences.

Lunch Cruise: 12:00 pm – 3:00 pm (All year round)
Supper Cruise: 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm (March – October)
Dinner Cruise: 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm (June & July only)
